- Kiln Dried Softwood is surprisingly good firewood, and despite the myths, it is not “oily” or “smoky” and won’t harm your flue. Softwood will burn faster than hardwood but the difference in heat output per kilogram is negligible, and we can offer it at a price that is hard to beat. If you have not tried this fabulous wood, we recommend you do so.
