150-200mm Half Live Edge Oak Planks

These boards have one straight edge and one "live" or Waney edge with bark. All are between 150mm (at narrowest point) and 200mm (at widest point), and cut to various lengths.  

Please note these have not been kiln dried. The majority have been aired for 6 months or more but should be considered "green". If you have not worked with waney edge wood before please mind that you need to "debark" the waney edge, usually a chisel or wire brush on an angle grinder is ideal, followed by sanding. 

Although we do not send these out with deep splits in them, hairline cracks may be present and Green Oak must be allowed to acclimatise gently to avoid deep splits, and you should be mindful of this before this wood goes into service. Knots may be present.
